ANNIE ARMSTRONG EASTER OFFERING FOR NORTH AMERICAN MISSIONS

The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering is one way we support the spread of the gospel in North America. Every dollar given goes to train and resource more than 5,000 missionaries involved in church planting and compassion ministries who share the life-transforming gospel of Jesus Christ across the United States, Canada and their territories. Our goal is to raise and invest $20,000 this year.

CALLED BUSINESS MEETING, APRIL 8

We will have a Called Business meeting following the 10:30am worship service on Sunday, April 8 to vote on the following two prosposals:
  • The Building/Grounds Assessment Committee recommends that LPBC engage Myrick, Gurosky & Associates, Inc. to develop an overall master plan and to develop an immediate next phase project at a cost of $25,000 and to create architectural perspective renderings at an additional cost of $5,000.
  • The Deacons recommend the creation of a Building Committee in accordance with the Special Committees provision in our by-laws.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY “COFFEE BREAK”, APRIL 10

Ladies, do you need a break? Just a few minutes to pause, catch your breath, and reorient your hearts? If so, please join us for our next Women's Ministry "Coffee Break" on Tuesday, April 10 from 7:00pm until 8:00pm at the home of Beth Smith. We will fellowship together, pray together, and hear a devotion from Oleta Bruton.

STRONG TOWER COMMUNITY OUTREACH, APRIL 21

Our partners in ministry at Strong Tower Church in Montgomery, AL need our help.  They will continue their monthly community outreach events on April 21.  These events begin at 10am in Montgomery and end at 1pm.  Lunch is served and the events include kid and adult ministry activities.  If you would like more information or to attend, please contact Karen Ott.

YOUTH FUNDRAISER YARD SALE, APRIL 28

The annual Youth Fundraiser Yard Sale will take place Saturday, April 28. The students use this sale to raise money to fund their summer camps and activities. During your Spring cleaning, please keep the students in mind as we will need many donations in order to stock the sale.  Items like furniture, toys, electronics, sporting goods, and kitchen wares usually sell well. We will not be receiving clothing this year as it tends not to sell very well. We will begin receiving donations after Easter Sunday, April 1. If you have any questions, please contact Wesley Braswell.

A large print Bible (NIV) will be available; however, readers are invited to read from their own Bible and in their native language. It will take place in the courtyard next to East 59 Vintage & Cafe in East Lake, 7619 1st Avenue North, Birmingham, AL 35206. To sign up to read, click here. TRAIL DAYS MISSION TRIP, MAY 17-20

May 17-20 are the dates for our annual outreach to Appalachian Trail hikers in Damascus, VA.  Each year we have the opportunity to sit down with hikers to share our hope, soothe their hurt, and speak His truth.  Through hot meals and first aid stations, we are able to meet the hikers' physical needs and through conversation and prayer, God meets their spiritual needs.  Contact David Lucas for more information or to sign up.
